Springs, cables, openers, panels — we fix it all. Family-owned, with 15+ years of hands-on garage door experience, fully stocked trucks ready to roll today.
From broken springs to off-track doors — every common garage door problem, with parts stocked on the truck.
Spring Replacement
Broken torsion or extension springs are the #1 garage door failure. We carry springs for every door size and weight — same-day replacement available.
Cable Repair
Snapped or frayed cables make your door dangerous. Our techs replace and tension cables correctly so the door balances and moves safely.
Off-Track Door
A door that has jumped its tracks can cause serious damage if forced. We realign rollers, tracks, and hinges to restore smooth operation.
Panel Replacement
Dented, cracked, or rotted panels can be replaced without swapping the entire door. We match your existing door style and color.
Opener Repair
Whether your opener is grinding, reversing unexpectedly, or won't respond, our techs diagnose and fix all major brands on the spot.
Sensor Alignment
Safety sensors that are misaligned or dirty cause phantom reversals. We realign and test all sensors to meet current safety standards.
Roller Replacement
Worn nylon or steel rollers cause noise and rough operation. Fresh rollers restore quiet, smooth movement and extend door life.
Weather Seal
Damaged bottom seals and side seals let in cold air, pests, and water. We replace all weatherstripping to keep your garage tight.
The Two Biggest Failures
Springs & cables — what to know.
Roughly 7 out of 10 repair calls come down to one of these two. Both can be dangerous to handle DIY — here's the honest version.
Don't operate
Broken Torsion Spring
Springs are wear-out parts — typically rated for 10,000–20,000 cycles. When they snap (often with a loud bang from the garage), the door becomes too heavy for the opener to lift safely. The spring assembly is under thousands of pounds of stored tension; this is one job we strongly recommend leaving to a tech.
→ We replace in matched pairs so the second one doesn't fail next week
→ Springs are sized by door weight, height, and cycle rating — measured on site
→ Same-visit fix; truck stock covers nearly every residential door size
Cables run from the bottom corners of the door up to the spring shaft and balance the door's weight. When one frays or snaps, the door usually goes crooked, jumps off-track, or won't lift evenly. Operating it in this state can break the second cable, twist the door, or pull the tracks off the wall.
→ We replace cables in pairs and re-tension to factory spec
→ Drums and bottom brackets get inspected at the same time
→ If the door has gone off-track from a snapped cable, we realign it the same visit
We keep fully stocked trucks so we can fix your door in one visit — no waiting days for parts.

Common Questions
Before you book.
How soon can you come?
We offer same-day appointments for most repairs across the Chicago Suburbs. For emergencies (door won't close, stuck open, broken spring), call (815) 200-1255 — we answer 24/7 and dispatch the closest stocked truck.
How much does garage door repair cost?
Pricing depends on what's wrong with your door. We send a trained tech out to inspect and give you an honest up-front quote before starting any work. There's a service-call fee for the visit — if you approve the repair, we get to it right away.
Why did my spring break — was I doing something wrong?
Almost never. Garage door springs are rated for a fixed number of cycles (usually 10,000–20,000). After years of opening and closing, they fatigue and snap — usually in cold weather when the steel is most brittle. It's not a maintenance failure, it's a wear-out part. Replacing in matched pairs is best practice so the second one doesn't fail the next week.
Can I drive my car under a door with a broken spring?
Don't. With a broken spring the door is held up only by the opener (which isn't designed to lift the full weight) and the cables — both can fail without warning. A 200+ lb door dropping on a vehicle is a real risk. Call us first; if the car is already trapped, the tech will safely lift the door on arrival.
Is it worth repairing or should I replace the door?
If the door is less than 15 years old and structurally sound, repair is almost always the better value. We'll give you an honest recommendation — we won't push a replacement you don't need. If the panels are rotted or the door is bent past safe operation, we'll quote both repair and replacement so you can compare.
Do you fix doors you didn't install?
Yes. We service every major brand — Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, CHI, Haas, Raynor, Overhead Door — and every major opener — LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Marantec, Linear. We don't care who installed it; we'll fix it.
What if you don't have the part on the truck?
Our trucks are stocked for the top 95% of common repairs (springs, cables, rollers, sensors, opener gears, capacitors, logic boards). For rare panels or specialty parts, we'll order it the same day, schedule the return visit, and waive a second service-call fee.
Do you carry parts on your truck?
Yes. Our service vehicles are stocked with springs, cables, rollers, hinges, and opener parts for every major brand we service. The vast majority of repairs are completed on a single visit, no follow-up trip needed.
