What We Service

Every door on the outside of your house .

From the front door your guests see to the patio slider your dog drags open — we service, replace, and install exterior doors across Chicagoland. We do not work on interior doors.

Front Entry Doors

Fiberglass, steel, and wood entry doors. Single, double, and doors with sidelights or transoms. We install new doors and replace existing — frame, threshold, weatherseal, lockset, and all.

Back & Side Doors

Back-of-house entry doors, mudroom doors, garage-to-house doors, basement walkouts. Same install and replacement service as the front — just less visible.

Sliding Glass Patio Doors

Two-panel, three-panel, and multi-panel sliders. New installs, full replacements, dragging-roller fixes, off-track repair, and broken glass replacement on every major brand.

Hinged Patio & French Doors

In-swing and out-swing French doors, atrium doors, and hinged patio sets. Sticky hinges, sagging panels, failed astragal seals — all fixable.

Storm Doors

Full-view, retractable-screen, and ventilating storm doors. Adds an extra layer of insulation and protects your entry door from Chicagoland weather year-round.

Screen Doors

Hinged screen doors, sliding patio screen doors, and replacement screens for existing frames. Re-screen what you have or install something new.

Glass Replacement

Broken slider glass, cracked sidelights, fogged double-pane units, and tempered safety glass. We pull measurements, source the right unit, and install it without ordering a whole new door.

Hardware, Hinges & Weatherseal

Locks, deadbolts, smart locks, hinges, thresholds, sweep seals, and weatherstrip. Drafty doors and stuck locks are usually a one-trip fix — no full replacement needed.

Scope of Work

Install, replace, repair, or just the glass .

A drafty front door does not need a full replacement. A cracked slider does not need a new door. We start with the cheapest fix that solves the problem.

New Installation

Adding a door where there was none, or upgrading a basic builder-grade door to a premium entry, slider, or French door. Frame to finish.

Full Replacement

Replacing an aging, drafty, or damaged door — same opening, same swing direction. We measure, source the right size, and swap in a day.

Repair & Adjustment

Sticky locks, sagging hinges, dragging sliders, off-track patio doors, broken latches, failed weatherseal. Most fixes are one-trip.

Glass Replacement

Cracked slider glass, broken sidelights, fogged double-pane insulated units. We replace the glass without replacing the door.

From First Call to Done

How door service works .

1

Call or schedule online

Call (815) 200-1255 or schedule online. We log the door type, the opening, and what is wrong — sticking, dragging, broken glass, full replacement — and route a tech.

2

On-site assessment

Tech measures the opening, inspects the frame, threshold, and existing door, and walks you through repair vs. replacement options. No upsell scripts — we tell you what we would do at our own house.

3

Up-front quote

Written quote on site before any work begins. For new installs and replacements we walk you through door options — fiberglass, steel, wood, glass configurations — so you can see what fits your house and budget.

4

Install or repair

Most repairs and storm/screen-door installs are done the same visit from truck stock. Full entry-door and patio-door replacements are scheduled around lead time on the door itself — typically a few days to a few weeks depending on the brand and configuration.

Why Homeowners Call Us

One call for every door .

Most contractors who do entry doors do not touch garage doors. Most garage-door companies do not touch entry doors. We do both.

Every Door on the Outside

Front, back, patio, sliding, storm, screen, glass — anything on the exterior of your house, we service and replace. One call covers them all. (We do not service interior doors.)

Repair First, Replace When Needed

A drafty door or stuck slider is usually a one-trip fix — new weatherseal, new rollers, a hinge adjustment. We do not push you toward a full replacement when a $200 repair will solve it.

Same Team as Your Garage

We are not a generalist contractor — we are door specialists. The same techs who repair your garage door know weatherseal, glass, hinges, hardware, and threshold work because every door has the same anatomy.

Up-Front Pricing, No Surprise Bills

Written quote approved before any work begins. There is a service-call fee for the diagnostic visit; if you approve the work, the fee rolls into the repair. No drive-by replacements, no doors you did not need.

Common Questions

Before you call us .

Do you only do garage doors, or do you service entry doors too?
Both. We service and replace every door on the exterior of your house — front entry, back doors, sliding patio doors, hinged French and atrium doors, storm doors, screen doors, and the hardware and weatherseal that goes with them. We do not service interior doors, but if it is on the outside, we work on it.
My sliding patio door is dragging or off-track. Can you fix it?
Yes — sliding-door dragging, sticking, and off-track issues are one of the most common calls we run. Usually it is worn rollers, a bent track, or built-up debris in the bottom rail. Most are one-trip fixes from truck stock. If the rollers are too far gone or the panel is bent, we will quote replacement options.
My front door is drafty in winter — do I need a new door?
Probably not. Most drafty doors are a weatherseal problem — the bottom sweep, the perimeter seal, or the threshold has worn out and air is getting through. New seals and a threshold adjustment usually fix it. If the door itself is rotted, warped, or insulated badly, then a replacement makes sense — but we always try the cheaper repair first.
Can you replace just the glass on a patio door or sidelight?
Yes. We measure the opening, order the right insulated glass unit (IGU) for double-pane, or tempered safety glass for slider and sidelight panels, and install it without replacing the whole door. Faster, far less expensive, and saves a perfectly good door from the landfill.
Do you install storm doors and screen doors?
Yes — full-view storm doors, retractable-screen storm doors, ventilating storm doors with built-in screens, hinged screen doors, and sliding patio screen doors. Most storm and screen door installs are done in a single visit. We also re-screen existing frames if the screen itself is torn but the frame is good.
How long does a full entry-door replacement take?
On the install day, a typical entry-door replacement takes 3–6 hours — pull the old door and frame, prep the rough opening, set and shim the new unit, install hardware, apply weatherseal and interior trim, and clean up. The wait time before that depends on the door — basic stock doors can be a few days; custom fiberglass with sidelights and a specific finish can be a few weeks.
Do you do interior doors too?
No — we focus on the exterior. If you need bedroom, closet, or interior pocket doors, we will point you to a finish carpenter or interior trim specialist. We service every door on the outside of your house, but we do not work on the inside.
How is exterior door work priced?
Up-front per job, not hourly. You get a written quote on site before we start. There is a service-call fee for the diagnostic visit; if you approve the work, the fee rolls into the repair cost. For full installs and replacements, we put the door, hardware, and labor on one written quote so you can compare apples to apples.
